Wake County urges residents to pack pet emergency kits

Wake County Government said pets need an emergency kit “just like the rest of your household.” The post marked #PetPreparednessMonth as a time to build one.

It also noted that the Wake County Sheriff’s Office therapy dog handlers have their bags packed, and asked residents if they are prepared.

Wake County pointed people to www.wake.gov/petprep for a list of items and additional #PetPreparedness tips.
