Traffic Alert Issued After Rail Car Leak
Spartanburg City Fire Department crews are operating at the scene of a rail car leak in the Beaumont area, according to a traffic alert posted to Facebook.
The alert said the situation is contained to the immediate area and that railway technicians are on scene working to address the incident.
The following road closures were listed as currently in place:
- Isom St. at Beaumont Ave.
- Beaumont Ave. at Garner Rd.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes while emergency personnel continue operations.

Suspect Arrested After Domestic Dispute, K-9 Attack
Spartanburg police said officers responded to a domestic violence-related dispute on June 10 and the suspect fled in a white pickup truck. A K-9 was injured during the arrest, and the suspect was later taken into custody after a pursuit ended with a PIT maneuver.
